BECOMING: A Girl's Guide to Her First Moon

Rituals, Wisdom & Journal Prompts to Honor Your Becoming

by Andrea Buchan

A book that invites a girl into a relationship with her body built on trust, choice and honouring. It walks her through the threshold of her first moon — her wise body, the lunar rhythm, the 13 moons, her moon cycle archetype and a ceremony of her own — with journal prompts, recipes and blessings along the way. Written for the girl standing at the doorway, and for the mother, aunt or grandmother standing beside her.

Inside the book

The Five Gates of Becoming and the Maiden, Mother, Crone within
Her wise body — and every option for catching her blood, honestly compared
The four seasons of her cycle and how to live in flow with them
The 13 moons, her moon cycle archetype, and a first moon ceremony
Journal pages, letters to her future self, recipes and blessings
A note for parents and caring adults on holding the threshold well

For girls approaching or newly at menarche, and the adults who love them.
